It is with great sadness and heavy heart that I have to announce the passing of Captain Myrna Taylor. In our grief, we are shaken by the totality of Myrna. Her unquestionable love for her family, love of music, life-long love of learning, acceptance of everyone, refusal to judge or dismiss anyone and dedication to the BPYC . Myrna enjoyed being with her fellow BPYC Club members, hearing and telling funny stories. No one, not a single soul, would want for comfort while she had a say in the matter and that endeared her to all. You could depend on her. We cannot stop hearing the sound of her laugh. The more we hear it, the harder we cry…
The wake for Captain Myrna Taylor will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday at Zion Cathedral in Freeport. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hollywood Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral in Amityville. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
